Mayor Conducts Research at Three Enterprises, Focusing on This Key Matter
Longquan News Network News On the afternoon of May 13, Weng Zhihong, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, conducted an in-depth research tour of the Economic Development Zone to investigate the land use demands of enterprises, gain a better understanding of their current development status, and listen to their needs and difficulties.
Mayor Weng visited three enterprises successively: Zhongtai Auto Air Conditioning Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Guoli Packaging Co., Ltd., and Zhejiang Yili Auto Air Conditioning Co., Ltd. During each stop, he learned about the enterprises’ production, sales, current output and value, development plans, as well as existing demands for land and factory buildings through listening to briefings and conducting on-site inspections. He also carried out on-site office work, discussing solutions to the enterprises’ development issues with heads of relevant departments.
It is understood that Zhongtai Auto Air Conditioning Co., Ltd. mainly produces electromagnetic clutches for automotive air conditioners. In 2021, the company achieved an annual output value of over 70 million yuan, with a growth rate of 57.6%, and its tax contribution per mu exceeded the standard for "standard industrial land". However, insufficient land area has restricted the company’s daily production capacity and automation transformation, prompting it to put forward land use demands. Zhejiang Guoli Packaging Co., Ltd. specializes in manufacturing packaging cartons and paper products. Its output value grew by 14.5% in 2021, and its tax per mu also surpassed the "standard industrial land" threshold. Currently, the plot where the company is located houses not only Zhejiang Guoli Packaging Co., Ltd. itself but also two of its wholly-owned subsidiaries. As the enterprise expands, its demand for land continues to grow.
After learning about the current situation and needs of the enterprises, Mayor Weng emphasized several key points. First, great importance should be attached to enterprises’ demands and the service-oriented philosophy should be strengthened. The Economic Development Zone, Bureau of Economy and Commerce, Bureau of Finance, Bureau of Natural Resources and Planning, and other relevant departments must actively engage with enterprises, resolve their development challenges in a timely manner, and ensure their stable production and further growth. Second, efforts should be intensified to conduct thorough surveys of land and enterprises in industrial parks, carry out scientific and rational integrated planning, further revitalize idle factory buildings and industrial land, and expand the space for industrial development. Third, the campaign of "vacating cages for new birds and phoenixes rising from the ashes" should be promoted with greater intensity and higher standards. Outdated production capacity should be phased out gradually, and land and factory buildings should be allocated based on enterprises’ nature and development orientation to improve the efficiency of industrial land use and boost the high-quality and leapfrog development of the city’s industrial economy.
In addition, Mayor Weng stressed that the reform of "evaluating enterprises by output per mu" should be steadily advanced. Priority should be given to key areas, and enterprises in the park should be encouraged and guided to extend their industrial chains, formulate long-term development plans, utilize factory buildings in an intensive and economical manner, and accelerate technological transformation to enhance production capacity. Furthermore, continuous efforts should be made to optimize the business environment, improve the capacity and level of services for enterprises, and realize the transformation of the industrial economy "from having quantity to ensuring quality, from good quality to excellence, and from excellence to strength".
