Uphold the Mission of "Dragons Guarding Lives", Practice the Original Aspiration of "Quan-Speed Response"

On the afternoon of January 25th, the Longquan Red Cross Beidou Rescue Team held its 2025 annual work summary meeting. Zhou Haizhong, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Executive Vice President of Lishui Red Cross Society, and Zhang Wei, Vice Mayor of Longquan Municipal People's Government, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Representatives from municipal departments including the Social Work Department, Red Cross Society, Civil Affairs Bureau, and Water Conservancy Bureau, as well as more than 70 team members of the rescue team, participated in the meeting.

The meeting comprehensively reviewed the work achievements of the Beidou Rescue Team in 2025, commended 19 team members who were awarded the title of China Red Cross Five-Star Volunteer, conducted exchange speeches on the integrated development of the team, and made in-depth arrangements for the team's future development.

Leadership's Message: Earnest Expectations Guide the Way Forward

Upon the recommendation of the Longquan Red Cross Society and with the approval of the Lishui Red Cross Society, the Longquan Red Cross Beidou Rescue Team was officially incorporated into the Lishui Red Cross emergency rescue system and upgraded to a municipal-level Red Cross emergency rescue team in Lishui. The Beidou Rescue Training Base was also upgraded to the Lishui Red Cross Rescue Training Base.

In his speech, Secretary Zhou Haizhong fully affirmed the achievements made by the Red Cross Beidou Rescue Team in actively integrating into the core businesses of the Longquan Red Cross Society, including emergency rescue, volunteer services, and humanitarian communication. He put forward three hopes for the team's future development: first, to further deepen "system construction" and strive to be a model of integrated development; second, to further expand "capacity output" and strive to be a pioneer in professional training; third, to make new breakthroughs in "technology empowerment" and strive to be an explorer of smart rescue.

Vice Mayor Zhang Wei pointed out that the Longquan Red Cross Beidou Rescue Team is a cohesive, professional, and dedicated team that can "assemble immediately when called, fight effectively when assembled, and win when fighting". It is the most trustworthy "first aid hero" around the people and the brightest calling card of Longquan as a "city of love and warmth". He hoped that the team will continue to strengthen the soul of loyalty, temper excellent skills, promote the volunteer spirit, and make greater contributions to the construction of high-quality Longquan.

Review of 2025: New Leap Forward in Team Construction

In 2025, the Longquan Red Cross Beidou Rescue Team aimed to build a standardized, professional, and scientific benchmark rescue team, achieving remarkable progress in organizational construction, capacity improvement, emergency rescue, and social services. Adhering to the guiding ideology of "training for combat", the team organized 3 large-scale actual combat drills for mountain and water rescue; successfully held 7 cross-regional multi-subject emergency rescue skills training sessions, training over 200 emergency rescuers; carried out 149 volunteer service activities with a total service duration of over 25,000 hours; performed 31 emergency rescue missions throughout the year with a 100% success rate, effectively testing and improving the capabilities of joint command, technological application, and logistical support in complex environments.

Commending Advanced: Volunteer Spirit Shines in Longquan

19 team members including Zhao Dongfa of the rescue team were awarded the high honor of China Red Cross Five-Star Volunteer for their long-term dedication and outstanding service. At the meeting, Secretary Zhou Haizhong and Vice Mayor Zhang Wei presented medals and gifts to them.

New Blood: Inheriting the Mission and Spirit

Under the oath-taking led by Yu Shaoke, the deputy captain, the new team members took a solemn oath facing the team flag. It is hoped that they will quickly integrate into the collective, temper their rescue skills, and become the backbone of the rescue team as soon as possible.

Gathering Love: Building a Safe Barrier Together

Two caring enterprises, Zhejiang Zhongtai New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Aolida Air Conditioning Parts Co., Ltd., donated love funds to the rescue team, injecting warm strength into the rescue cause. The Secretary-General of the Longquan Red Cross Society presented donation certificates to the enterprises.

Exchange of Speeches: Sharing Experience and Forging Consensus

Pan Xiaorong, the deputy supervisor of the rescue team, systematically summarized the breakthroughs made by the rescue team in standardized management, combat-oriented training, and socialized services, faced up to the shortcomings in equipment, funds, and teachers, and put forward the annual development goals of "stricter management, tougher training, stronger equipment, and more sufficient confidence". Sun Zhenliang, the representative of team members, affectionately reviewed his eight-year rescue experience, expressed the friendship of "entrusting life and death" with his teammates and the original aspiration of "protecting the people", vividly interpreting the team members' dedication to "humanity, fraternity, and dedication", and showing the simple, tenacious, and united spirit of the team. Representatives from the municipal Social Work Department provided work guidance from the perspectives of policy support, resource docking, and business coordination around "team construction, capacity improvement, and integrated development", further consolidating the consensus of "government guidance, team main body, and social participation" in rescue co-construction.

Outlook for 2026: Anchoring Goals and Embarking on a New Journey

Faced with challenges such as insufficient equipment, financial pressure, and shortage of teachers, the rescue team stated that in 2026, it will continue to deepen standardized construction, strengthen professional training, improve the level of technology application, consolidate comprehensive support, actively integrate into the provincial and municipal emergency rescue systems, and strive to build an elite emergency rescue force with "professional and regular integration, quick response, solid work style, and strong capabilities". Taking this meeting as a new starting point, the team will continue to polish the work brand of "Longhu Life, Quansu Response", stay true to its original aspiration, forge ahead, and contribute the strength of Beidou to safeguarding the lives and property of Longquan's people and promoting the construction of a modern and high-quality Longquan for common prosperity.
