Car clutch slipping

When the vehicle starts, it is still difficult to fully release the clutch pedal. The vehicle speed cannot increase with the increase of engine speed during driving, and it feels weak to drive. When there is severe slipping, the burnt odor of the clutch friction plate can be smelled.

Reasons for the malfunction of the car clutch

1. The friction plate of the driven plate is excessively worn, causing the pressure plate to move forward and the spring force to decrease. → → Replace the friction plate or the driven plate assembly of the driven plate

2. Incorrect assembly of the car clutch, causing a decrease in pressure on the driven pressure plate caused by the pressure plate → → Reassemble the clutch carefully as required

3. The compression spring is broken or the elasticity decreases. → → Replace the spring or check if the installation position of different colored springs is correct

4. Improper assembly, clutch pressure plate or clutch cover warped → → Reassemble, correct or smooth the warped pressure plate or clutch cover if necessary

5. The friction plate of the driven plate is contaminated with oil → → Check if there is too much grease added to the front and rear bearings and splines of the clutch. The friction plate that is contaminated with oil should be thoroughly washed and blown dry with gasoline

6. The overheated pressure plate and friction plate are burned → → Smooth grind the clutch pressure plate or replace the friction plate

7. There is no gap between the main cylinder rod → → Readjust

8. Excessive grinding of the pressure plate and thinning of the working surface → → Check the pressure plate after smooth grinding
